Our hands-on vineyard and winemaking commitment has led to many accolades for our wines over the years, including featuring in “The Top 100 New Zealand Wines” and “Best Buy – Best New Zealand Red” in national newspapers and magazines and Gold medals for our recent vintages of Pinot Noir.
Open from 12 – 4 weekends and public holidays from Labour weekend until vintage (approx mid March), or by prior appointment, our cellar door offers tastings and sales of our current release wines and an opportunity to meet us as the owners and winemakers.
Alexander Vineyard is located on free-draining river gravel terraces with some clay-loam areas.
We have recently finished a new purpose built winery building that includes a winemaking area, barrel room and dedicated storage, as well as a small cellar door where we offer tastings and wine sales to our increasing numbers of international and domestic visitors.
