Alexander Pinot Noir 2015

Our premium fully handcrafted Pinot Noir. Another exceptional vintage for Martinborough gave us a medium-bodied wine with a fragrant and vibrantly aromatic nose with dark berried fruits entwined with liquorice, spice and violet nuances.

The palate is intense with sweet-fruited, ripe, black fruits with subtle floral and herb elements, with fine-grained tannins, lovely balance and length.

A winemaker’s careful selection of five clones off our home vineyard with 20% wild-yeast fermentation and 20% new oak, savour with game, duck, pork and lamb dishes over the next six years. Only 125 cases made.

Alexander Dusty Road Pinot Noir 2016

Made from handpicked fruit off our home Hinakura Vineyard, the 2016 vintage has concentrated aromas of ripe fruit and nutty oak, with a well-structured, sweetly-rich and fulsome palate of blackberried- fruit and soft, dark herb notes.

A concentrated full-bodied wine with fine-grained tannins, energy and power with a long finish and great mouthfeel, it should be matched with duck, venison, beef and lamb dishes over the next five to six years.

Alexander Merlot 2016

With just 800 vines of the outstanding Bordeaux Clone 481 in our vineyard, production is naturally limited to a maximum of around 80 cases per year dependent on climatic conditions.

The Alexander Merlot 2016 is subtly restrained on the nose with well-concentrated and elegantly packed aromas of ripe blackberries and dark plums, spice and cedary, pencilly oak. The palate has real power with sweetly-rich, well-proportioned and sustained finish of black fruits with liquorice, toasty oak and herb notes.

Aged in French oak, 33% new, this outstanding wine will benefit from cellaring for up to ten years.

Serve with roast beef, hearty casseroles and a surprisingly great accompaniment to a dark chocolate tart.

Alexander Chardonnay 2015

Sustainably-grown handpicked fruit from the renowned Mendoza clone has produced an elegant, food-friendly and aromatic Chardonnay with melon and stonefruit flavours and a fresh, clean and well-balanced finish with gentle oak highlights.

Aged in a French oak hogshead barrel for 11 months, it can be enjoyed now or cellared for up to 7 years. Perfect with seafood, chicken and pork dishes.

Alexander ‘Raumati’ Pinot Noir Rosé 2017


‘Raumati’, the Māori name for summer, captures the true spirit of this handcrafted 100% Pinot Noir Rosé from our home vineyard on the Martinborough Terrace.

An inviting bouquet of strawberries, quince and cranberries, with mineral notes, fills the glass leading to a gentle, mouth-watering and refreshing, classic rose finish with hints of peaches in the bone-dry Provence style. Perfect chilled as an aperitif, an excellent match with canapes and antipasti or just to enjoy on that long, warm summer’s day.

Limited production with 1140 bottles made.
